I chose this traineeship because I wanted a place where I could grow not only in knowledge but also be truly involved in daily operations on the floor. The combination of strategic thinking and hands-on work really appealed to me."
During my first weeks, I actively participated in production: packaging, labeling, and quality checks. At the same time, I worked on my first project proposal to reduce cutting waste, which I got to present to the management team. The most surprising thing? How much valuable knowledge the operators have. Talking to them gave me insights you just can’t find in any report.
The biggest challenge was finding my way in a new environment while gaining the confidence to take initiative. By asking questions and getting involved, I quickly became part of the team. What I’ve learned most about myself is how much energy I get from collaborating with different people – exchanging ideas, thinking together, and actually making improvements.
My advice to future trainees: be curious and ask lots of questions. By being actively involved on the shop floor, you gain insights you won’t get anywhere else and quickly build strong connections with your colleagues. The best part? You get to make a real difference together.
