What will you do as a Procurement Assistant?

As a Procurement Assistant, you are the right hand of the Group Procurement Director and work closely with the various Category Buyers.

  • You handle the administration of the Procurement department, including drafting new contracts, managing purchase prices, as well as following up internally and externally on specifications when creating new items.
  • You are responsible for preparing, drafting, processing, and archiving purchase contracts through the contract management tool, in consultation with the Category Buyers.
  • You enter prices into the ERP system (InforM3), where you detect and try to resolve possible discrepancies.
  • You support the department in preparing financial reports and business analyses on purchasing performance. In addition, you play a role in supplier management.
  • You work closely with our suppliers to reduce the number of complaints, drawing up various short- and long-term action plans. You monitor orders and related administration and serve as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries.
  • You make proposals on how we can simplify or improve the efficiency of operational procurement processes across the organization. You are then responsible for developing these action plans, organizing project meetings, and handling related planning, administration, etc.

What do you bring to the table?

  • You are an administrative and organizational talent: a fast and accurate working style is one of your key strengths, and you can build on relevant initial experience. In addition, you are analytical, enabling you to provide the Procurement team with the necessary reports/analyses.
  • You communicate professionally in Dutch and English.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office applications and are not intimidated by working with an ERP system. Additional knowledge of Excel or Power BI is a plus.
  • You are customer-oriented, proactive, and know how to set the right priorities. You have an eye for detail and like to dot the i’s and cross the t’s.
  • Affinity with procurement processes and the food industry is definitely a plus.
