What will you do as a Procurement Manager Packaging?
Act as the main point of contact for all matters related to packaging.
Manage the entire procurement process and develop the right supplier strategy to ensure scalability with packaging that meets quality, brand, and sustainability standards.
Collaborate with NPD, Operations, Finance, and Sales to ensure the packaging portfolio grows in line with company ambitions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a clear procurement strategy for packaging materials.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, availability, and competitive pricing.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices to strengthen margins and ensure continuity.
Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and digitalization within procurement.
Monitor packaging market trends and report insights to management.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, safety, and sustainability requirements, in collaboration with NPD.
Work closely with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to align decisions with business priorities and forecasts.
What do you bring to the table?
Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g., Commercial Economics or Business Administration) with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within FMCG, retail, food, or packaging. Experience in the food industry or additional procurement certifications (NEVI 1 or 2) is a plus.
Strong negotiation skills, aiming to build good relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
Enjoy working on projects, are analytically strong, and take responsibility.
Good knowledge of MS Office applications and openness to working with ERP systems.
Experience with demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management is a plus.
Fluent in Dutch and English; additional knowledge of French or German is a plus.
Comfortable with regular travel between various locations in the Netherlands and Belgium.
