About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced, people-focused Head of Human Resources to lead our HR organization across six locations in the Netherlands and Belgium. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our HR strategy while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations. You are a true working leader: someone who can guide the HR team, partner with management, and also roll up their sleeves when needed.

You will oversee all HR disciplines — HR operations, recruitment, labour relations, talent management, learning & development, and organizational development — ensuring that our HR policies and processes support our goals and our people.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and inspire the HR teams across NL and BE, ensuring alignment and strong local support.
  • Develop and execute the HR strategy in line with company objectives.
  • Act as a trusted partner to the leadership team on workforce planning, organizational development, and change management.
  • Actively participate in daily HR tasks such as complex employee relations cases, recruitment for key positions, and operational HR improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with Dutch and Belgian labour laws, collective labour agreements, and internal policies. You maintain strong relationships with trade unions and lead negotiations with union representatives and works councils.
  • Drive initiatives to strengthen culture, engagement, and employee development.
  • Oversee HR data, reporting, and systems to enhance insight and effectiveness.
  • Lead or contribute to strategic projects such as talent pipelines, leadership development, digitalization of HR processes, diversity & inclusion programs, and retention strategies.

What do you bring to the table?

  • You have 7+ years of experience in HR, including leadership responsibility.
  • You are both strategic and hands-on: you feel comfortable in the boardroom and on the work floor.
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch and Belgian labour legislation.
  • Proven experience leading HR in multi-site or international environments.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset and affinity with HR systems and data reporting.
  • Knowledge of SD Worx tools e-Blox or Cobra is considered a strong plus.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English. You are willing to travel between the sites in Belgium and The Netherlands.
